To Our Kindergarten Families, It is hard to believe that we are in the second week of June and it feels like an extremely long time since we were all together at school. We know that you have been doing fantastic learning at home and that you are all growing in so many ways! It is important for us to keep our brains growing, but sometimes we all need to take a step back or press the ‘pause’ button and breathe.
As per Mr. Foshay’s update to you last Friday, on Monday and Tuesday of this week, we will not be sending academic work to students/families. We are going to step back for 2 days and decompress from academics. These days are simply to focus on time together and possibly participate in some health and wellness activities. Our school has provided the link below with examples of what you may want to do.
For the rest of the week, Wednesday - Friday, we are going to focus on observing and exploring our live butterflies that we would have been doing at school. Our hope is that your children will
gain first-hand knowledge about the butterfly life cycle just by observing it in real-time. We believe that first-hand experiences observing caterpillars and the life cycle of butterflies will help your children make personal connections to the natural world. So keep your eyes out for our posts!
Have a wonderful week, we miss you and hope you are all doing well.
We really think this is a wonderful idea . As much as we appreciate all of the stuff that all of you have worked so hard to plan -a break for a few days is a great way to refocus and regroup for everyone . Thank you 😊
