Mother’s Day Lily
Materials
White Paper
Pencil
Scissors
Straw or Pipe Cleaner or Twig or wood skewer
Scotch Tape
Directions
Trace your child’s hand on the white paper (petals)
Cut out the hand
Wrap the wrist of the cutout onto the straw, it will overlap around the straw (stem).
Gently and carefully place the paper finger between the open edge of the scissors and your thumb to curl the paper. This makes a petal for each finger of the cutout. To get the curl to go outward, the curl will with the scissor.
Optional, if you want leaves, you can cut out two leaves from the extra white paper. It is easier to colour the paper green before cutting the leaf.
